Samsung's 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5, might soon get another LTE variant that's destined for India, if information from an established retailer from Mumbai is to be believed.

Announcing an MRP of Rs. 56,000, mobile retailer Mahesh Telecom on Thursday tweeted some details of the unannounced Galaxy S5 LTE (SM-G900I). The retailer claimed that the stocks of the Galaxy S5 LTE will be arriving soon.

The handset was also said to be priced Rs. 1,500 (MOP) more than the original 3G, Exynos-based variant launched in India (SM-G900H), which comes out to be Rs. 53,000 for the alleged Galaxy S5 LTE (SM-G900I) handset, considering that the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) was launched in India at Rs. 51,500. Current official pricing for the Galaxy S5 (SM-G900H) in India is Rs. 51,000, so a Rs. 52,500 price tag for the alleged LTE variant is also possible.

The tweet said, "New launch #SamsungGalaxyS5 - G900I #LTE (Expected MOP Rs.1500 more than G900H) (stocks in few days) MRP-Rs.56,000." So far, no official announcement about the alleged LTE variant has been made by Samsung.

Notably, the company launched the Exynos-powered octa-core version of the Galaxy S5 (Review | Pictures) in India, while Samsung showcased only the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801-powered version at MWC. The flagship went on worldwide sale on April 11.

Some of the key specifications of the Galaxy S5 are Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080x1920 pixel full-HD resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

The biggest new features being touted on the Galaxy S5 by Samsung include a fingerprint scanner on the home button, a heart rate sensor placed near the 16-megapixel camera, and the IP67 certification that makes it dust and water-resistant.
