Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad With Android 4.4.2 KitKat Launched at Rs. 7,349

Videocon on Thursday announced its latest Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone in India, the Infinium Z50 Quad, at Rs. 7,349.

The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Videocon Infinium Z50 Quad runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and features a 5-inch qHD (540x960 pixels) IPS display. It packs a 1.3GHz quad-core (unknown chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The Infinium Z50 Quad sports a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera onboard. The smartphone features 8GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Infinium Z50 Quad include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB and FM radio. The handset measures 145.4x72.4x8.2mm and packs a 1900mAh battery. The Infinium Z50 Quad smartphone will be available in Black and White colour options.

Commenting on the launch, Jerold Pereira, CEO, Videocon Mobile Phones, says, "The emerging smartphone users in India are increasingly becoming style and design conscious and along with hot features, they always look for a device that is stylish and comes equipped with stunning looks. With the Infinium Z50 Quad, we aim to capture the emerging budget smartphone market of the country by offering latest technology at affordable pricing."

Recently, the company had launched its flagship smartphone in India called the Videocon Infinium Graphite, priced at Rs. 10,499. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM support. The Videocon Infinium Graphite features a 4.7-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) LTPS OGS display and sports Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on its front and rear panels.

The Infinium Graphite is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 16GB inbuilt storage which is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while also housing a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
