Five months after its launch, the Xiaomi Mi 5 has received its first official price cut in China. The Chinese electronics giant has cut the price down by CNY 200 (roughly Rs. 2,000), making the new retail price start from CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,100).

The Xiaomi Mi 5 32GB storage variant is now available in China for CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 18,100), while the 64GB storage variant is available for CNY 2,099 (roughly Rs. 21,100). The Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB storage has also received the same price cut, and can now be purchased for CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,200).

The Mi 5 smartphone was launched in China in February this year and was priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,100) for the 32GB variant. The 64GB variant was priced at CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 23,100), and the Mi 5 Pro was priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 27,100).
