Xiaomi recently confirmed that the company will be launching its Mi Mix 2 smartphone on September 11 and while we are still awaiting official details, leaks are continuing to come in at the rate of knots. A new leak suggests that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will pack yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 836 SoC and run Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the box. Separately, a purported panel of the Mi Mix successor has also been leaked in live images.

The leaked specifications of the upcoming Mi Mix 2 smartphone, shared by a Weibo user, suggest that the smartphone will pack Snapdragon 836 SoC, as pointed out in a report by GizChina. It's worth pointing out that the Snapdragon 836 has still not been announced by Qualcomm. Apart from the SoC, the leak suggests that the smartphone will run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the box and come with a 6.2-inch display with a screen resolution of 1440x2960 pixels.

Moving to the leaked live images of the alleged Mi Mix 2 front panel, the shared image on Weibo indicates that the smartphone might feature even thinner bezels than its predecessor Mi Mix smartphone, as pointed out in a report by GSMArena. This is in line with the previously suggested 93 percent screen-to-body ratio on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

To recall, previous leaks have indicated that the Mi Mix 2 smartphone might pack Snapdragon 835 SoC, pack a 6.4-inch display, and come with a 19-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel sensor at front. The smartphone was earlier suggested to house a 4500mAh battery. Previous leaks have claimed that Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will be offered in three variants, i.e. 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. It has been speculated that the 8GB RAM variant will be a limited edition.
