Honor 7 Cameras Are Flagship Class in Every Way

By Sponsored Content | Updated: 16 November 2015 07:58 IST

While the impressive specifications and features like the fingerprint scanner and Smart Key may grab the headlines when it comes to the Honor 7, perhaps the hidden gem of the smartphone is its camera.

The Honor 7 ships with a 20-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus which can lock in focus in the blink of an eye, or 0.1 seconds if you are being exact. The rear camera is powered by a Sony IMX230 sensor and it comes with f/2.0 aperture, which results in stunning low light images.

The 6-lens module comes with sapphire glass protection and the package is backed by a dual colour temperature LED flash. An 8-megapixel front-facing 26-mm wide-angle fixed focus camera with a f/2.4 aperture is also on board the handset, and that too is accompanied by a flash.

And the camera is not just impressive on paper. This is what Gadgets 360 said about the performance of the rear and front cameras of the Honor 7 in its review:

The camera itself is quite up to the mark, taking good shots in all conditions. The rear camera is capable of serious detail and good colour reproduction, be it with close-ups or more open pictures. The high resolution lets you zoom in deep without a loss of detail, and shots are vibrant and realistic. Close-up shots achieve a similar level of detail, as well as accurately replicating lighting conditions and shadows.

The front camera is absolutely brilliant for a smartphone, and thanks to the flash, is capable of taking some excellent selfies. The camera is in fact capable of taking better pictures and video than even the primary cameras of a lot of cheaper smartphones, and selfie lovers will have a lot to gain from the Honor 7.

The cameras also pack in plenty of other goodies, like the 10-level beauty mode, which means you look perfect in every selfie. There's panorama mode for when you want to capture an entire scene edge-to-edge; HDR mode to get the best out of mixed lighting conditions; a demist mode that clears up foggy scenes, something that will come in especially handy in Indian cities where smog can be a big problem; and a food mode that is perfect for sharing what you are gorging on with your Instagram followers.

The camera also comes with a slow motion mode, for when you don't want to miss any details and a burst mode for taking multiple shots in a second. You can control clicking pictures with your voice or watermark your photographs on the phone itself.

Have you ever come across those long exposure shots clicked by professionals that make it seem like light has travelled from one end of the photograph to the other? Honor 7's light painting mode makes it easy for anyone to take such shots, and share them instantly with your friends on Facebook. Capturing awesome time lapse videos is equally easy.

All in all, the Honor 7 is the perfect smartphone when it comes to capturing your precious memories.
