Since its debut in February last year, the Places feature on Facebook has allowed people to check-in to various locations like malls, beaches, sports stadiums and coffee shops and share it with their network. Now, the social networking site has compiled check-in data from 25 cities around the globe and listed the most social landmarks around the world.

The findings reveal that some of the most popular spots visited during summer vacations include sports arenas, amusement parks and shopping centers. Facebook also stated that cities with warmer climates had more check-ins to outdoor spots while those with colder climates were restricted to indoors like concert halls or bars.
