Twitter launches tailored trends based on location and who you follow

Twitter has announced that it is rolling out a new feature that will allow user to customise the trending topics. What this means is that now users will be able to set the trends as per their interests and preferences.

Twitter mentioned in the blog post that it has improved its algorithms to help user is personalising the trends on the site. These trends can be personalised based on your location and who you follow. Twitter users will have the option to choose from 150 locations to see trends around them.

For users, who would prefer to keep trends just the way they were, can select the location to worldwide. This feature is being gradually rolled out to all users starting today.

Tailored trends are not only available on Twitter.com but also on official Twitter apps for iOS and Android.

It's noteworthy that Twitter had revamped its logo just last week.
