  • Vodafone Rs. 496 plan comes with unlimited calls to any network
  • It also provides free incoming and outgoing calls while roaming
  • The Rs. 177 plan has 28-day validity with unlimited calls and 1GB data

The Vodafone Rs. 177 plan has been launched too, with 1GB data and unlimited calls for 28 days

Vodafone has launched two new plans for prepaid customers seeking 1GB daily data allocation and free calls. While one plan is aimed at those looking for a long-term recharge, the other has validity of 28 days only. Vodafone said in a media statement that the plans are available for existing customers as well as MNP users. These new plans have been launched a week after Reliance Jio updated its tariff plans to raise the prices of popular prepaid plans and reducing the validities of postpaid plans.

The new Vodafone plan with 1GB data per day and 84-day validity is priced at Rs. 496 and comes with unlimited local and STD calls across any network. In addition, buyers will get free incoming and outgoing calls on roaming with the Vodafone Rs. 496 plan. The company says there is no daily or weekly cap on how many minutes a user can make the calls. This plan competes directly with Jio’s Rs. 459 recharge pack, which has the same benefits but also comes with free SMSes and access to its own apps.

Similarly, the Rs. 177 Vodafone plan comes with 28-day validity, a total of 1GB data, and unlimited calls anywhere in the country across networks; all calls remain free here as well. However, the user will not get the free incoming and outgoing roaming call facility with this plan. There is no Jio plan with 28-day validity and 1GB data per day.

Alok Verma, Business Head, Delhi & NCR, Vodafone India, said, “We are pleased to extend world class Vodafone services with a basket of offerings to mobile subscribers in Delhi NCR. The Rs 177 & Rs 496 First Recharges are very attractive offers for pre-paid customers wanting to switch over to Vodafone SuperNet.”

The new Vodafone plans come just a day after the operator launched a Rs. 69 prepaid pack with unlimited local and STD calls to all operators and 500MB data, with 7-day validity.
