Fitbit 'Ionic' Smartwatch, 'Flyer' Wireless Headphones, 'Aria 2' Smart Scale Launched in India

Wearables brand Fitbit on Thursday announced the availability of its Fitbit Ionic smartwatch, Fitbit Flyer wireless headphones, and Fitbit Aria 2 Wi-Fi Smart Scale in India. The Fitbit Ionic has been priced at Rs. 22,990, the Fitbit Flyer comes at Rs. 9,990, and the Fitbit Aria 2 has a price tag of Rs. 9,990. All three will be available starting February 2018 across retail chains including Reliance Digital, Croma, and Helios. The devices will also be sold through Fitbit's online partners in India.

Fitbit Ionic smartwatch

The Fitbit Ionic smartwatch comes with features such as heart rate tracking, 50 metre water resistance, Fitbit Pay, and GPS. The smartwatch runs Fitbit OS and incorporates onboard music, smart notifications, and several different apps and clock faces in the Fitbit app gallery. The smartwatch claims a battery life of up to 5 days, with automatic activity and sleep tracking features.

The wearable also has a new SpO2 sensor that helps estimate oxygen levels in the blood to allow for sleep apnea detection. Fitbit Ionic will be available in three colour combinations: silver gray tracker and clasp with blue gray band, smoke gray tracker and clasp with charcoal band, and burnt orange tracker and clasp with slate blue band.

Fitbit Flyer

Fitbit's first pair of wireless headphones, the Fitbit Flyer, comes with a sweatproof design and music & call controls. The headphones have a claimed battery life of 6 hours on a single full charge. The Fitbit Flyer also features passive noise isolation for an immersive audio experience. Apart from that, it has quick charge support, multi-device connectivity, and is compatible with the Fitbit Ionic smartwatch.

Fitbit Aria 2

The new Wi-Fi smart scale from Fitbit is available in Black and White colour variants. The Fitbit Aria 2 has been designed to measure body composition indicators like lean mass, BMI, body fat percentage, and weight. The smart scale offers Bluetooth connectivity and stats sync automatically to the Fitbit dashboard. It has support for eight different users.
