Wearables brand Fitbit on Tuesday unveiled the Fitbit Versa, its lightest smartwatch yet. Last year, the Fitbit Ionic was launched as the company's full-fledged entry into the smartwatch market. The new smartwatch comes with features like over four-day battery life, personalised on-device health dashboard, quick reply for Android users, female health tracking, and more. The Fitbit Versa has been priced at Rs. 19,999 in India, and a Fitbit Versa Special Edition will retail at Rs. 21,999. In the US, the two models cost $199.95 (roughly Rs. 13,000) and $229.95 (roughly Rs. 15,000) respectively.

With the Fitbit Versa, the company has also launched the Fitbit OS 2.0 for its smartwatches. It includes a new personalised dashboard that promises to provide a simpler and holistic view of user's health and fitness data. The new Fitbit Versa has plenty of fitness tracking capabilities built in, including on-watch workouts, 24/7 heart rate tracking, and personalised fitness tips. Also, the Versa smartwatch can also answer messages, download apps, and store music.

Fitbit has also introduced female health tracking to "help women understand how their menstrual cycle connects to their overall health." With the new feature, women will be able to record their menstrual cycle data, as well as record other symptoms. It will also show dynamic cycle predictions, using the company's proprietary cycle algorithm that claims to get "smarter over time the more you log." This feature will be rolled out to users in May.

Interestingly, Fitbit smartwatch looks pretty similar to an Apple Watch as it features the same rounded-yet-squarish design and full touchscreen face. The Fitbit Versa comes in three colours options - Black with a Black Aluminium case, Ggray with a Silver aluminium case, and Peach with a Rose Gold aluminium case. It will be available in India in the second quarter of the year, across Reliance Digital, Croma, Helios and other major retailers. It will also be sold online on Amazon India and Flipkart.
