Google is on quite a roll, updating its Search app recently with numerous features as reminders, 'Parking Location' card, a centralised list of nicknames and more. Now the company has updated the Search app for Android again, bringing the ability to access Google Now cards offline.

The updated Google Search app now lets users view their Google Now cards even if there is no active Internet connection. In the absence of a data connection, the last state of the cards will be displayed, so while the information may not be up-to-the-minute, it's better than not having access to anything.

"Next time you're on the subway and want to check on your day's appointments with Google Now, you won't have to worry about lack of cell service. Starting today (make sure you update your #GoogleSearch App for Android http://goo.gl/idgt3y) your Google Now cards stay loaded, even when you lose service in the subway... or your favorite underground bar! ," Google said via a Google Plus post.

Earlier, a teardown of Google Search v3.4 app by Android Police suggested a list of some other features that have not been exposed yet, but may be available in a future version.

Firstly, the site claimed that the Google Search app teardown reveals a new card that will show images shared by friends on Google+. The site noted that some string of codes indicate that the 'shared Google+ images by friends' are linked to a location and will only appear when a user searches for a particular location or while travelling to a certain place. The site also claimed that the yet-to-be-rolled-out cards for shared Google+ images from friends will include a +1 and an email button at the bottom.
