The Android Experiments site currently lists 20 experimental apps - from camera experiments to Android Wear apps and more. The apps include Grove by Simon Geilfus, Tilt by MediaMonks, Form Watch Face by Roman Nurik, Time Mesh by Coding for Love, Tunnel Vision by Kyle Phillips, Kintsukuroi by Chelsea Saunders, Landmarked by Anthony Tripaldi, Boo! by LarvaLabs, Space Sketcher by Left Field Labs, Inkspace by Zach Lieberman, Selfie X Selfie by SosoLimited, Muzei by Roman Nurik, IOIO Plotter by Ytai Ben-TSVI, Elements by Lia, Gaze Effect by Fathom, IOIO Rover by Hans Tischer, Coubertin Rings by Fathom, Carolina by Jono Brandel, Lip Swap by Anthony Tripaldi, and Bouncing Isaac by Fathom.

Announcing the Android Experiments site, Roman Nurik, Design Advocate, and Richard, Google Creative Lab, wrote on the Android Developers blog, "Today, we're excited to launch Android Experiments: a showcase of inspiring projects on Android and an open invitation for all developers to submit their own experiments to the gallery."

Google added that the 20 experimental apps were built using platforms such as the Android SDK and NDK, Android Wear, the IOIO board, Cinder, Processing, OpenFrameworks, and Unity.

Nurik and Richard clarified that Android Experiments is open to creators globally, and anyone, whether a student or developer, can submit their experiments. "Today is just the beginning as we're opening up experiment submissions to creators everywhere. Whether you're a student just starting out, or you've been at it for a while, and no matter the framework it uses or the device it runs on, Android Experiments is open to everybody," notes the blog.
