Paytm, FreeCharge Unveil Limited Period 100 Percent Cashback Offers

In order to promote digital payments, Paytm and FreeCharge have announced separate sales where consumers can get up to 100 percent cashback offers by using the digital wallets. Paytm has announced its 12/12 Cashfree Festival on Monday where consumers can pay via the digital wallet for offline shopping and get cashbacks among other offers. FreeCharge, on the other hand, has announced two-day cashback sales where consumers can avail flat 100 percent cashback for two transactions per day by using the FreeCharge wallet.

The consumer will need to make the entire payment using the respective (Paytm or FreeCharge) wallets, in order to avail of the offers.

Paytm claims that customers can shop from a range of categories at over 15 lakh offline stores and win 100 percent cashback, free movie tickets, Uber rides, iPhones and tickets to T20 cricket games when they pay using Paytm. Announcing the list of partners, the mobile payment and e-commerce platform said users can shop at stores including Big Bazaar, Pantaloons, Spencer's, Peter England, Allen Solly, Croma, Claire, Lotto, Clarks, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Barista, and Chaayos among other retailers to win offers during the Paytm festival.

Announcing the festival, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder-CEO at Paytm said, "The 12/12 Cashfree festival is aimed at celebrating the inclusive power of mobile payments and commerce. It marks our commitment to work closely with the offline merchant community to ensure that the smallest of vendors can accept mobile payments at their stores at zero cost. Going forward, we will continue to celebrate the day as an annual event that salutes the spirit of going cashfree."

FreeCharge offers a flat 100 percent cashback on payments made by using its wallet and claims that other wallets are offering up to 100 percent cashback which essentially means 100 percent cashback only for a limited set of merchants. Consumers can avail FreeCharge offers at merchants across categories including Foodpanda, Domino's, Swiggy, Zomato, Haldiram's, Mcdonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Barista; Bookmyshow, Snapdeal, Crossword, Shoppers Stop, Pantaloons, and Redbus, among others.
