SwiftKey, the third-party keyboard app for Android and iOS, has launched an experimental keyboard called Clarity Keyboard Beta. The app currently in beta, as the same suggests, is now available to download on Google Play.

The highlight of the Clarity Keyboard Beta app is it supports multi-word autocorrect, which checks the last few words typed and retrospectively corrects them. The app can also undo any auto-corrections quickly and restore the phrase to the original, uncorrected version. The company clearly doesn't want to ruin user experience with the Clarity Keyboard Beta app, which is why an undo button has been made available to consumers. The app also automatically learns nicknames and phrases used during conversations.

The app description on the Google Play notes, "This app is part of the SwiftKey Greenhouse beta program - it is unfinished/experimental software." SwiftKey has also listed the features that are missing from the new product such as a prediction bar, SwiftKey Flow, emoji, voice input, and settings.

Announcing the news, SwiftKey said on its blog, "Today we're unveiling something completely fresh and new from SwiftKey as an experiment in innovation - a new beta app and a new home for seeding ideas. Clarity Keyboard Beta is an experimental keyboard offering a simple way to type, helping you to focus on what you're writing and nothing else. It's available to download and test right now."

The company alongside also revealed its SwiftKey Greenhouse program that will see experiments like the Clarity Keyboard Beta app come to life. Notably, SwiftKey's new product is the first from the Greenhouse program. Interested users can sign in to Greenhouse to get updates about new products.

The company also clarifies that some of internal ideas might be used in the core products. SwiftKey added, "Some of these ideas remain internal, some get absorbed into our core products and others, like Clarity Keyboard Beta, get released as their own experiments."
