Users can now access the Yahoo Mail app with their Gmail, Outlook, or AOL email addresses, Yahoo announced on Monday.

"The Yahoo Mail app team is always looking to create new features that help people stay organised - from customisable swipes and people-only notifications - to our recently announced top search results," the company said in a statement.

To access the new feature, tap your email provider from the welcome screen, use your Gmail, Outlook, or AOL email address to create a Yahoo account and give Yahoo permission to sync your email messages in the Mail app.

The new Yahoo Mail app is available in the App Store (iOS 4.15) and Google Play (Android 5.15).

Back in February, Yahoo launched Caller ID and photo upload features for its Yahoo Mail app, aiming to help users identify a caller from their email contact list and also access their phone camera roll on a desktop.

The new Caller ID feature will show a user who is calling even if the number is not saved in the smartphone, the company said in a statement.

Yahoo Mail uses contact information from emails. As soon as a user contacts you, the contact's name will surface with the call and Yahoo Mail will update names in your call history or when you dial.

Once the new photo upload feature is enabled, your recent camera roll photos will be instantly available when accessing your Yahoo Mail account on desktop.
