Popular action camera brand GoPro has reduced the price of HERO6 Black in India. The HERO6 Black, GoPro's flagship camera, is now priced at Rs. 37,000 (down from Rs. 45,000). In India, it was launched last year. Meanwhile, the other GoPro cameras HERO5 Black and HERO5 Session are currently priced at Rs. 27,000 and Rs. 18,000 respectively. These two cameras had seen significant price cuts in December last year. While the price drop in Hero6 Black is significant, the cost is still much higher than the US price. According to GoPro's US website, the price of the GoPro Hero6 Black has come down to $399.99 (roughly Rs. 25,400).

The GoPro Hero6 Black is powered by a custom-designed GP1 processor. It can shoot videos in 4K60 (4K video at 60 frames per second) and 1080p240 (full-HD slow-motion video at 240 frames per second) quality. The company says that the camera has the most advanced stabilisation of any Hero camera. With the QuickStories feature, the HERO6 Black along with the GoPro App automatically transforms footages into videos. QuikStories is an app feature that makes it easy for users to share short videos of the footage shot from GoPro. The camera has a Touch Zoom feature and three times faster offload speeds via 5GHz Wi-Fi, GoPro claims.

The HERO6 Black camera is waterproof up to 10m. It is compatible with Karma and the existing GoPro Mounts as well. Similar to the previous variants, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-enabled HERO6 Black has voice control feature in 10 languages. The camera comes with stereo audio recording and advanced wind noise reduction.

GoPro says that the GP1 processor enables twice the video frame rates, better image quality, range, low-light performance and video stabilisation than the previous models. The processor also helps in computer vision and machine learning, which enables the Hero6 to analyse visual scenes and sensor data for automated QuikStories.
