What do games like Smite, Primal Carnage Extinction, and Infinity Blade III have in common? On the surface very little. That is, unless you count the fact that you can make customised figures of the characters from these three games courtesy Amazon's 3D Printing Store.

You can customise 35 characters from the aforementioned games using tools on the website supplied by Sandboxr, a Utah-based 3D printing and software development firm that works with video game and entertainment companies. Customisation options include the kind of weapon the figure holds, the kind of base it is on, and even its pose.

After customising your character, Amazon will print it and deliver it to you. Smaller figures cost $29.99 (Rs. 1,910) and bigger ones are available for up to $89.99 (Rs. 5,725).

While we don't doubt that someone would find figures from Infinity Blade, Smite, or Primal Carnage worth purchasing, we can't help but feel that Amazon's 3D Printing Store could benefit from the presence of games that are a little more popular.

Nonetheless, with companies like First 4 Figures, McFarlane Toys, Kotubukiya, and even Square Enix's own Play Arts Kai line making up the competition, 3D printing just might be the only way forward for games with a smaller fan following.
