Possibly the biggest title for the PlayStation 4 this year, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End received a new trailer on Wednesday night, which provided details regarding the game's story. But soon after it was put up, Azaïzia Aymar - head of content for Assassin's Creed - noticed that the trailer contained concept art from Ubisoft's franchise - the 2013 pirate adventure Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - in particular.

Aymar took to Twitter to address the issue, and posted comparisons in replies with Ubisoft's social media manager for Assassin's Creed. For what it's worth, Uncharted developer Naughty Dog was quick to respond to the fiasco.

"In our eagerness to get the story trailer out we made a regrettable mistake and didn't thoroughly vet the artwork used for an in game painting," said director of communications Arne Meyer, in a post on their official website. "We've already updated the trailer. We hold all artistry in high regard and take full responsibility for having allowed this to happen."

Meyer added that Naughty Dog would like to apologise to "everyone at Ubisoft, the Assassin's Creed team, the original artist, and our fans" for the "regrettable mistake". Aymar continued the conversation with other users on Twitter, and pointed out that it was reasonable to expect someone to reach out before using copyrighted work of others.
