With an aim of improving patient care and operational efficiency at its health centres, the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has approached the National Informatics Centre (NIC) for configuration of e-hospital portal in its Health Care Units.

NIC suggested NDMC to upload the proposed e-hospital software for NDMC on its cloud services, which will happen first time in India.

"E-hospital shall enable NDMC to deliver health care services in more effective and efficient way. This will help NDMC to achieve the ultimate organizational goal of a satisfied and improved provider and recipient of health care... Further, it will also help administrators in NDMC area to exercise an enhanced monitoring and control over the functioning of hospitals and dispensaries under its jurisdiction," NDMC spokesperson Jagjivan Bakshi said.
