A presentation is only as good as the one presenting, and Logitech wants to make sure you look good when you do. The company wants to do away with the old laser pointed remotes and instead bring in a smart, sleek-looking one for the modern times with the new Spotlight presentation remote. The $129.99 (roughly Rs. 8,700) remote is available via Logitech's website in Gold or Slate, and from the Apple Store exclusively in Silver.

The Spotlight remote is made of machined aluminium and features a simple, minimal interface with just the right number of buttons needed for a presentation. In fact, Spotlight design language largely resembles the original Apple TV remote, albeit curvier around the edges. Spotlight offers a large forward button with a media button on top of it and a back button below. The remote is compatible with a number of presentation software including PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides and Prezi.

The bottom panel of the remote is removable, revealing a USB dongle that connects the Logitech Spotlight to your computer. The remote can connect to your computer over Bluetooth as well. Spotlight charges over USB Type-C and can give three hours of usage in one minute of charge and up to three months on full charge.

Logitech Spotlight comes with a bunch of handy features including highlighting a specific area in the presentation by holding down the media button while pointing at the area, magnification or zooming in on a slide, adjusting the volume of the connected computer by tilting the remote up or down, among other things.

Additionally, users can set timed alerts which will let the remote vibrate to warn you when your time is up. Bluetooth connectivity also give you up to 100 feet or 30 metres range on the Logitech Spotlight.

However, to use all of Spotlight's features, users will need to install Logitech's Spotlight software on their PC or Mac. Once set up, users will be able to customise and control presentations using the remote.
