Apple has released v10.8.3 system update for Mountain Lion. The third update to Apple's latest operating system for Macs brings a host of improvement and bug fixes, including a fix to the infamous file URL bug that could cause almost any application to crash.
Other changes include Boot Camp support for installing Windows 8 and Safari v6.0.3, that brings a host of much needed bug fixes and improvements.
As usual, to download and install the update, click the Apple menu and choose Software Update to check for the latest Apple software via the Mac App Store, including this update. The update's size may vary from computer to computer when installed using Software Update, depending upon what earlier updates you had installed.
You can also download the manual update installer. This is especially useful when you need to update multiple computers but only want to download the update once. These versions of the standalone installers are available from Apple Support Downloads.

Safari 6.0.3 is included in the OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.3 Update and contains fixes that improve performance, stability, and security, including:

- A fix for an issue that could cause the inaccurate appearance of an alert that bookmarks can't be changed
