We have known about the presence of a successor for the HTC Butterfly. New reports from a Chinese website reveal additional information regarding the HTC Butterfly S along with leaked images of the smartphone.

Photographs leaked by the website show us the presence of dual-speakers on the front with BoomSound technology similar to what we have seen on the HTC One. No speaker grill is seen on the back of the device. If we look at the images closely, the speaker grill on the top shows that the image has gone through some sort of digitization as it appears like a pixelated mosaic. Thus, one cannot be way too sure of the report.

Other elements seen on the back is a camera with a metallic ring around it, staying consistent with the usual HTC design. We can also see a Beats Audio logo on the bottom; hence the phone will certainly offer Beats Audio support like most HTC smartphones. The image also shows HTC Sense 5 running on the device.

What is consistent with its predecessor is the 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels.

An earlier report suggested that the device will be launched on June 19th at an event in Taiwan. According to this report, HTC Butterfly S is a separate device than the HTC Butterfly 2. HTC Butterfly S is touted to be a device thicker than HTC One. This smartphone will also come with an UltraPixel camera and higher capacity battery than the one currently on-board HTC One.

Another rumoured device from the manufacturer- the HTC One Mini was also recently caught on camera. The HTC One Mini aka M4 is a smaller and thinner version of HTC's flagship HTC One. The device is rumoured to debut in August with a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor.
