HTC Desire 320 With BlinkFeed and Quad-Core SoC Launched

HTC on Monday announced the Desire 310's successor, dubbed the Desire 320, in the UK market. While the company hasn't unveiled the pricing, it said that the "UK availability will be announced in the near future."

"Marrying super-fast processing with premium HTC features in a compact form, the HTC Desire 320 delivers a quality experience for the budget conscious well beyond its entry-level model status," said Peter Frolund, UK and Nordics General Manager, HTC. "Following on from the success of the HTC Desire 310, it boasts enhanced power and memory to enable more people to benefit from a quality smartphone experience that delivers the perfect balance between smart essentials and value," he added.

The entry-level HTC Desire 320 comes with single-SIM support and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display.

The Desire 320 packs a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. The 8GB of inbuilt storage on Desire 320 is expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Desire 320 smartphone include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. The handset is backed by a 2100mAh battery, which can reportedly last up to 12 hours of talk time. It measures at 132x67.79x10.5 mm, and weighs 145 grams. It will be available in Vanilla White and Dark Grey colour options.

The HTC Desire 320 also brings the HTC BlinkFeed for combining content from news and social media sites to smartphone's home screen.
