HTC One's rumoured successor, thought to be codenamed 'M8', is again in the news, because of the purportedly leaked specifications published by prolific phone tipster @evleaks.

Earlier, another Chinese site, Eprice had revealed some of the specifications of the alleged HTC M8 smartphone, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB of RAM and Sense 6.0 UI. The leaked specifications also hinted that the alleged smartphone might boast a 5 or 5.2-inch display and also speculated that the launch of alleged HTC M8 to happen at MWC 2014.

But later @evleaks while replying to a Twitter user named Julie Birchfield who asked about the release of rumoured HTC's 2014 flagship on Verizon, said that the alleged HTC M8 could possibly be released on all four carriers in US, namely AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon by the end of March, which was contrary to Eprice's earlier report.

Even earlier, there were a few alleged leaked images of the HTC's rumoured 2014 flagship smartphone, the M8, doing the rounds in early November.

The leaked images showed a blue-tone HTC M8 smartphone which appeared to be very identical to the HTC One. The leaked image further suggested that the alleged HTC M8 might sport a fully enclosed metal body including the sides, as seen in the HTC One series smartphones
