We have known the fact that HTC is working on the HTC One mini for a while now. We also saw the miniature version of HTC's flagship in pictures recently.

Now with the UAProf (User Agent Profile) of the phone available on HTC's website, we can actually confirm a few of those rumours. UAProf files describe the capabilities of a device; these can include manufacturer details, model name or number along with multimedia capabilities.

First, the device is actually labeled as the HTC One mini. Next up, the smartphone will come with a display resolution of 720x1280 pixels. The file also comes with a reference to the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system which will be an upgrade from Android 4.1 on the HTC One. The UAProf also shows Audio/ Video Remote Control for the device which hints at the Infrared remote capabilities previously seen on HTC One. Other than that, the UAProf file does not reveal anything worthwhile.

Previous rumours state that the device will come with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor alongside 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone is also said to sport a 1,700 mAh battery and Beats Audio support. There has been news stating that the device will also come with an Ultrapixel camera like its big brother, but nothing has been confirmed as of now. The smartphone is expected to run HTC's Sense 5 UI.

With a wide variety of leaks already out in the open, analysts predict a launch for the mid-range version of the HTC One sometime in the third quarter. Once released, the smartphone will be competing with devices having similar specifications such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. If the speculated specifications for Google's Moto X phone are indeed true, then Motorola's upcoming device could be a competitor as well.

Apart from the HTC One Mini, HTC is also said to be working on Butterfly S smartphone, which is likely to debut in Taiwan on June 19. As per the rumours, HTC Butterfly S will sport 5-inch full-HD display. This smartphone is said to come with an UltraPixel camera and higher capacity battery than the one currently on-board HTC One.
