Lyf Water 5 With 4G Support, 13-Megapixel Camera Launched at Rs. 11,699

Reliance Digital has launched its latest Lyf-branded smartphone in India, the Lyf Water 5. Priced at Rs. 11,699, the smartphone is already available to buy via Amazon India in its Black colour variant.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Lyf Water 5 is a dual-SIM smartphone (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) that features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixel) IPS display with Asahi Dragontrail glass, and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. While the first SIM card slot supports 4G + VoLTE, the other card in the hybrid dual-SIM setup only supports 2G.

The Lyf Water 5 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, apart from a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage that's expandable via microSD card (maximum capacity supported not specified).

Connectivity options on board the Lyf Water 5 include 4G LTE (with support for both Indian LTE bands), GPS, FM radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0. The new smartphone from Reliance Digital is powered by a 2920mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 15 hours of 4G talk time, and 290 hours of standby time. The Amazon listing mentions a 2-year limited warranty for the device, and 6-month warranty for in-box accessories.

The smartphone bears dimensions of 142x70.5x7.7mm, and it weighs in at 136 grams. The Lyf Water 5 comes with ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, magnetometer, and an accelerometer.

To recall, Reliance Digital is already retailing five 4G smartphones under its Lyf Brand - Lyf Flame 1 is the entry-level smartphone, priced at Rs. 5,499; Lyf Wind 6 is priced at Rs. 6,499; Lyf Water 1 is priced at Rs. 14,599; Lyf Water 2 is priced at Rs. 14,690; and the Lyf Earth 1 is priced at Rs. 19,399 - on its website.
