Micromax to launch 4.3-inch Super AMOLED A90 for Rs. 12,999

Micromax seems to be on a roll as far as product launches are concerned. The company is expected to launch another smartphone Micromax A90, which will come with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen on Friday, August 17, 2012. It is expected that this smartphone will carry a price tag of Rs. 12,999.

Other features of Micromax A90 are 1GHz processor, dual-SIM support, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, and Android 4.0.

Micromax is organising a press event in New Delhi on August 17, and it is expected that the company will be introducing at least three new smartphones in the market and a couple of feature phones as well. Apart from Micromax A 90 the other two new smartphones that are expected to be unveiled at the event are Micromax A100 and Micromax A84 Superfone Elite. Micromax A 100 will be a 5-inch smartphone that will run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Note and Spice Stellar Horizon. The other specs of this smartphone include 854x480p resolution, 2000 mAh battery, a 5 megapixel camera, dual-SIM connectivity and 4GB of internal storage.

Micromax A 84 Superfone Elite will come with a 1GHz processor and a 5.0 megapixel camera with LED flash. There is also a 0.3 megapixel front camera on-board. Both these devices will carry a price tag of Rs. 9,999. However, Micromax A 84 is already retailing exclusively through deal site, Snapdeal.com.

As of now there is no word in regards to the total number of handsets and smartphones that this Indian handset maker is planning to launch.
