Nokia, once again trying its luck at smartphone manufacturing, will likely showcase its first smartphones at the Mobile World Congress in February 2017. The company behind the upcoming Nokia Android phone - HMD Global - has confirmed that it will attend MWC next year. A handful of mid-range and top-end Nokia Android smartphones have already been spotted on benchmark sites. Now, there is a new entrant to the list of the leaked Nokia Android phones, making an appearance on Geekbench with specifications that point to it being an entry-level device.

As per the Geekbench listing, a new entry-level Nokia Android phone, named Pixel, is seen running Android 7.0.1 Nougat. It is also seen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. The CPU is a dual-core variant at a clock speed of 1.19GHz. Nokia Android smartphone is also said to support Quick Charge 3.0 technology inside to charge the battery. Under the tests run by Geekbench, the Nokia Pixel scored 404 on the single-core test while it resulted with 661 on the multi-core test. It is likely the name of this entry-level Nokia Android smartphone will change before being commercially launched.

Nokia's D1C is already in limelight with its launch anticipated to happen next year at MWC. The Nokia D1C in September was listed on Geekbench that quite revealed the specifications under its hood. There are other smartphones that have appeared as well in public and are rumoured to be launched at MWC - Nokia 5320, Nokia 1490.

Recently, according to a Chinese tipster, Nokia's unnamed upcoming smartphone is said to feature a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch screen size. The rumours also claim that the smartphone will sport 2K (QHD) display which means that the handset may belong to the high-end category. HMD Global will bring Nokia back to the mobile world and the upcoming Nokia smartphones will be manufactured by Foxconn. In May, Nokia granted HMD Global the exclusive licence to create Nokia-branded Android mobile phones and tablets for the next 10 years.
