At the same time, the OnePlus CEO shared a front camera sample image.

In the meanwhile, noted tipster Evan Blass also took to Twitter to share a screenshot from the OnePlus 3 running on OxygenOS v3.1.0 based on an Android N preview build. The screenshot revealed that the smartphone may come with a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, a Snapdragon 820 SoC, and a 16-megapixel rear camera. Blass also tips that OnePlus will reintroduce NFC - a dropped feature in OnePlus 2.

Separately, a OnePlus customer service representative reportedly let it slip in a live chat that the OnePlus 3 launch event would happen on June 14 - this falls in line with the announced Q2 launch. This information, first spotted by TheNextRex, was accompanied by a screenshot of the chat for more credibility. The employee also confirmed that, even though the event is in VR, users will be able to watch it without a headset as well. OnePlus has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus 3 on a VR space station. It even made available 30,000 Loop VR headsets, which were sold out in no time.

OnePlus is looking to give the OnePlus 3 a makeover of sorts with a more sleek, and all-metal design. It is expected to pack a 3000mAh or 3500mAh battery, and come in two variants - 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage bundles.
