OnePlus 6T is set to go official at the company's launch event scheduled for October 30 in New York as as well as Delhi, India. Considering this is a mid-year update, one wouldn't expect many big internal or external upgrades. OnePlus has already confirmed a few changes though — the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor, no 3.5mm headphone jack, and Android Pie out-of-the-box. A report now suggests the OnePlus 6T will be the company's first smartphone with a custom “Night Mode” to help enhance low light shots. Additionally, OnePlus is also planning to unveil its new Explorer backpack alongside the OnePlus 6T.

The night mode on the OnePlus 6T's camera would bring convenience of capturing better photos in low light conditions or at night, as per a report by True Tech that cites an official OnePlus representative. The report suggests that the hardware and software of the OnePlus 6T will work together enabling users to click low light photos with "ample clarity, sharpness, good dark-to-light contrast, and negligible noise."

Apart from that, OnePlus earlier this month confirmed the presence of an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, a revamped UI with new gestures, and more recently, availability of Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box.

As for specifications, the OnePlus 6T has previously been tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of inbuilt storage. It also looks set to bring improved set of cameras at the rear and the front.

OnePlus on Wednesday also announced that it will be unveiling its new Explorer backpack alongside the OnePlus 6 at the launch event later this month. The new backpack comes with a "minimalist design and is meant for everyday use". It comes with features including a secret pocket on the back, a padded laptop partition, and a compartment with breathable vents for wet items. The backpack will be sold in Slate Black and Morandi Green, however OnePlus has not yet revealed the pricing details. We should find all that and other details at the OnePlus 6T launch event later this month.
