The Samsung Galaxy S IV is one of the most highly anticipated devices of this year, amongst many other devices that the Korean manufacturer plans to launch. After all the hype surrounding the device featuring an S-Pen stylus, fresh reports in the Korean media suggest otherwise.

SamMobile reports via Korean publication DDaily that though the Galaxy S IV will feature a home button with capacitive touch keys, there will be no S-Pen for the device. However, the Korean daily seems to confirm recent reports of the Non Contact Gesture and clarifies that it may have been misinterpreted for the "S-Pen feature".

The publications expectations regarding the announcement and availability of the device seem to coincide with earlier reports. The Samsung Galaxy S IV is expected to be announced on March 15 and likely to go on sale in the beginning of April. It will first be made available to eastern countries from Europe. The rest of Europe and Asia are expected to receive the device before the end of April, while US, Australia and Africa will receive the Galaxy S IV around May-June.

Apart from the Galaxy S IV codenamed Altius, Samsung is also developing multiple devices as part of the Project J lineup that includes the Samsung Galaxy S IV mini and an Apple iWatch competitor. The same blog recently reported of a complete list of codenames and accessories for the devices in the lineup.

Project J Mini, codenamed Serrano hints at the Galaxy S IV mini likely to feature a 4-inch full-HD display. Project J Active codenamed Fortius, is likely to come with an arm band, will have the ability to bike mount and will come with a pouch as well.

Specs wise, previous rumours doing the rounds suggest that the Galaxy S IV will feature a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display with full-HD resolution, 13-megapixel rear auto focus camera, Android Jelly Bean and an Exynos 5 Octa chipset. The smartphone will also include wireless charging support.

The company plans to sell a separate dock and a back cover with wireless charging capabilities for the device. The wireless charging kit is expected to be made available a couple of weeks later after the Galaxy S IV goes on sale.

Speaking of sales, past reports seem to indicate that the company is aiming to sell 10 million Galaxy S IV smartphones and that the it is reportedly planning to keep up to its target each month.
