Samsung has launched a new version of its Galaxy S4 mini, dubbed Galaxy S4 mini plus, in Germany. The South Korean giant has listed the handset as Samsung Galaxy S4 mini plus (GT-I9195I) on the company's German website. It has been priced at EUR 239 (approximately Rs. 16,700).

For specifications, the Galaxy S4 mini plus features a 4.3-inch Super Amoled qHD (540x960 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. The handset comes with 8GB inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB).

The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with full-HD (1080p) video recording. The Android 4.4 KitKat-based Galaxy S4 mini plus also features a 1.9-megapixel front camera. The handset is backed by a 1900mAh battery. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, and Micro-USB. It measures 124.6x61.3x8.94mm and weighs 107 grams.

Separately, GSMArena claims that the smartphone will be available as Galaxy S4 Value Edition in some markets. It also lists some of the EU markets where the Galaxy S4 mini plus aka Galaxy S4 Value Edition will be available including Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Romania, and Bulgaria.

It's worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition was originally launched last year, and the new Galaxy S4 Value Edition expected to hit the above mentioned markets will be an upgraded version.

Samsung India on Monday launched the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G at Rs. 11,100. The company said with the launch of the Galaxy Grand Prime 4G in India, Samsung has 14 4G LTE-capable models in the country.

The dual-SIM Galaxy Grand Prime 4G is nearly identical to the 3G variant of the smartphone, which was launched back in September last year, except it includes 4G LTE connectivity. The phone supports both Band 3 and Band 40, which means it's compatible with 4G networks being deployed in India right now. It also runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, instead of Android 4.4 KitKat.
