Sony's entry-level smartphones, Xperia E and Xperia E dual, are now available for purchase online. The phones were listed online across e-commerce websites  for pre-orders including on Infibeam and Flipkart.

In line with the pre-order price, the Xperia E has been listed on Infibeam at a price point of Rs. 9,999 and is available in Black, Pink and White colours, while the Xperia Z Dual has been listed at Rs. 10,990 and is available in Black and Champagne colours. The company is also offering a pair of Sony Headphones (MDR-ZX100A) worth Rs. 1,490, with both the phones. Flipkart is only offering the Xperia E Dual for outright purchase, at the time of writing this post.

Both Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual were announced in December. The Sony Xperia E sports a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and is powered by a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor. It has 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with a 1,530 mAh battery that as per the company's claim can provide a talk time of up to 6.3 hours, or a stand-by time of up to 530 hours. The storage can be expanded by up to 32 GB via a microSD card. The smartphone also sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus.

As the name suggests, the Sony Xperia E dual is the dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) variant of this smartphone. Another major difference between the two smartphones is that the Sony Xperia E will run Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) while the Xperia E dual will come pre-loaded with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). However, Xperia E dual is upgradable to Android 4.1.

Sony had recently launched its flagship smartphones - Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, in India and both these smartphones are available for Rs. 38,990 and 36,990 respectively.
