Ahead of its September 3 launch event, Sony teased the anticipated Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact devices in a video last week, in a bid to keep the level of interest high.

Now, the yet-to-be-announced Sony Xperia Z3 has reportedly passed Tenaa (China's FCC equivalent) certification again, listed as the L55t, over the weekend. The listing provides images as well as few details about the innards of the handset.

The images of the L55t handset on the Tenaa certification page indicate Sony has gone ahead with the same minimalistic design language it has used throughout the company's Xperia Z family.

Notably, this is the second time that the Xperia Z3 is said to have passed Tenna certification (previously, as the L55t and L55u) and the leaked specifications of the handset are in-line with the earlier listings.

The specifications listed on Tenaa of the L55t (thought to be the Sony Xperia Z3) include a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display; 2.5GHz quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) processor; 3GB of RAM; a 20.7MP rear camera; 16GB of internal storage with microSD slot; 146.5x72.4x7.35mm dimensions; 158.4 grams weight, and Android 4.4 KitKat.

Further, Phone Arena tips that much like other Sony Xperia flagship smartphones, the Xperia Z3 will be waterproof; although the exact details of IP certification are unavailable as of now.

Sony is also expected to debut the mini variant of the new flagship smartphone dubbed Xperia Z3 Compact at the same September 3 pre-IFA event. The rumoured Xperia Z3 Compact is said to come with a 4.5-inch 720x1280 pixel display, a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor, an Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone supposedly features a 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.
