Spice Smart Flo Poise with 4.5-inch display, Android 4.2 launched at Rs. 5,499

Spice has introduced a new entry-level Android smartphone in India, the Smart Flo Poise, priced at Rs. 6,499. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based smartphone is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device that also supports dual standby.

The Spice Smart Flo Poise features a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels. The Smart Flo Poise is powered by a dual-core 1.3GHz processor (unspecified chipset) alongside 512MB of RAM.

The smartphone sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also includes a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The Smart Flo Poise also includes 4GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

The Smart Flo Poise also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE and Micro-USB connectivity options. Unfortunately, it does not support 3G connectivity. It packs a 1450mAh battery.

Commenting on the launch, T M Ramakrishnan - CEO Devices at Spice Retail Ltd, said, "Smart Flo Poise is the perfect mix of the two with its premium looks and a slim body. The new smartphone features Ultra bright IPS display which makes it stand out and builds on our promise to constantly empower our users with superior technology. With strong market intelligence, we have launched Smart Flo Poise for an enhanced overall user experience."

In January, Spice's budget Android smartphone, the Smart Flo Mettle 3.5X was available at an online retailer for Rs. 3,549.

The Smart Flo Mettle 3.5X supports dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) connectivity and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 320x480 pixels.

The Smart Flo Mettle 5X is backed by a dual-core 1GHz MediaTek (MTK6572M) processor with a 256MB of RAM. The smartphone features a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also includes a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It includes 512MB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
