Swipe Technologies has launched its new Elite Plus smartphone priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone will be available online exclusively via Flipkart starting Monday. The company confirmed that the Elite Plus will be available in an open sale model.
The Swipe Elite Plus is the company's fourth in the 'Elite' line-up after the Swipe Elite, Swipe Elite 2, and Swipe Elite Note.
The Swipe Elite Plus features a 5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and comes with DragonTrail glass for protection from scratches. The company says that the Elite Plus sports a 78 percent screen-to-body-ratio and comes with 8.4mm thick profile. Powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor clocked at 1.5GHz, the smartphone comes with 2GB of RAM and packs 16GB of storage. The smartphone supports expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card and additionally, the company is offering 100GB cloud space free.
The Swipe Elite Plus sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f2.0 aperture and also includes an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear camera is accompanied by an LED flash. The handset supports 4G LTE apart from other connectivity options such as 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB OTG support, and Micro-USB.
The handset packs a large 3050mAh battery which the company claimed can last up to 2 days of mixed usage. The dual-SIM Swipe Elite Plus runs the company's Freedom OS custom ROM based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The company at launch announced that the Swipe Elite Plus will be available in two colours - Ivory White and Midnight Blue.
Swipe back in April had launched the Elite Note smartphone priced at Rs. 7,999 exclusively on Flipkart.
