Vivo X21, X21 UD Get New Night Purple Colour Variant, Sale Starts July 20

Vivo X21 UD in Night Purple colour

Vivo X21 and X21 UD in Night Purple colour edition have been silently launched by the Chinese phone maker in its home country. Preorders for the new colour variant of both the phones have begun, with deliveries expected to start from July 20. As for pricing, the X21 bears a price tag of CNY 2,988 (roughly Rs. 30,700) and the X21 UD has been priced at CNY 3,298 that is around Rs. 33,900. The new colour variant is only available in the 6GB RAM, 128GB inbuilt storage configuration. The phones were initially launched in March this year.

Apart from the new Night Purple colour, both Vivo smartphones are also available in Aurora White, Diamond Black, and Ruby Red options. All of them are currently being sold, and the new colour is up for preorders, on Vivo's online store, Tmall, Suning, and Jingdong.

Vivo X21, X21 UD specifications

The only major difference between the Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD is the presence of an under display fingerprint sensor on the latter. The dual-SIM (Nano) runs FunTouch OS 4.0 based on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It sports a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) Super AMOLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM, 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt storage, and an Adreno 512 GPU.

In the camera department, the Vivo X21 bears a vertically stacked dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with LED flash. On the front, the handset gets a 12-megapixel front camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor on the X21 UD. Connectivity on the Vivo X21 comprises of 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB with OTG support, and GPS.
