ZTE Blade V2 With 5-Megapixel Front Camera, 64-Bit SoC Announced: Report

ZTE has reportedly announced a new Blade series smartphone, dubbed the ZTE Blade V2. The pricing and the global release of the smartphone is unknown at this point, and the smartphone has not yet been listed by the company on its website.

According to Blogofmobile (via Phonearena), the company has announced the ZTE Blade V2, detailing its specifications but not yet announcing the regions where the smartphone will get released, or its pricing.

The single-SIM ZTE Blade V2 is said to run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and feature a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. It is powered by a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The Blade V2 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras use a backside-illuminated (BSI) CMOS image sensor. The 8GB of inbuilt storage on the ZTE Blade V2 is expandable via microSD card (unspecified maximum supported capacity).

Connectivity options on the ZTE Blade V2 include 4G LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS/ A-GPS. The handset is backed by a 2400mAh battery.

Earlier this month at CES 2015, ZTE and Cricket Wireless launched the successor to the Grand X Max phablet, called the Grand X Max+. The new smartphone from ZTE was made available from Cricket Wireless online and offline stores starting January 9 at $199 (Rs. 12,600 approximately) off-contract.

Specifications of the single-SIM ZTE Grand X Max+ include a large 6-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display; a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor; 2GB of RAM; 16GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB); a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash; a 5-megapixel front camera; 3200mAh battery; 4G LTE, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
