Why OPPO Is the Leader in Selfie Tech

By Sponsored Content | Updated: 31 December 2016 09:47 IST

Selfies are everywhere. But there’s one company that’s pioneered the art of taking a photo of yourself like no other. OPPO has led the selfie revolution with a slew of unique enhancements that other smartphone makers are yet to come to grips with. Here are a few reasons why.

Easier ways to take a selfie
One of the hallmark features of earlier OPPO F-series phones was the ability to take a selfie with just a palm gesture or a simple voice command. This meant you didn't have to worry about twisting your arm just to click a picture or be concerned about blurry images just because the phone shook as you tapped a button.

Another big OPPO innovation is of course Screen Flash. Switching this patented feature on transforms an OPPO F-series phone into a camera flash complete with carefully adjusted brightness levels for perfectly natural shots. OPPO has refined these in its latest - the OPPO F1s, to make taking a selfie even easier and better.

The best front facing camera
Every OPPO F-series phone sported category-leading front facing cameras and the OPPO F1s continues this. It has a 16-megapixel front camera that makes it the best handset in the market to capture selfies with a 1/3.1-inch image sensor. Using a unique pixel arrangement technology, OPPO is able to deliver bright images with strikingly rich colours and natural colour tones in your selfies.

The latest beautify features
It’s not just a spec bump that makes OPPO the selfie leader. The company also iterates on software to make you look as you should with Beautify 4.0. There are seven options to make you look as good as you are along with two skin tone modes. Enhanced blemish reduction results in each selfie being eye-catching for all the right reasons. With Beautify 4.0 you’ll get bright selfies and vivid eyes in each image.

The first of its kind selfie panorama
The innovation doesn’t stop here. OPPO has also made capturing 'groupfies' — group selfies — possible. The OPPO F1s comes with the world’s first selfie panorama mode. Simply rotate the phone from side to side to take a wide angle selfie. The F1s automatically stitches the photos to make sure the whole party gets in the shot. It’s slick, intuitive, and yet another game changer from the selfie leader.

And finally
To further drive the point home that OPPO is your only choice for all things selfie-related, the company has aligned itself with experts in their respective fields such as OPPO brand ambassador and cricketer Yuvraj Singh, as well as South Indian superstar and stunt specialist, Tamannaah Bhatia. The end result? A video showing off expertise and leadership at every level. Check it out:
