The sub-Rs. 15,000 segment is bursting at the seams with new smartphones. Interestingly, we are slowly seeing the introduction of 5G smartphones at this price, while 4G models are still being sold too. Motorola has now launched yet another model in this price segment, the Moto G52. This isn't a 5G smartphone but boasts of features that aren't so common, and might just make up for that.. So, should you buy the Moto G52 and stick with it till 5G becomes mainstream, or would you be better off with a 5G-enabled smartphone right now? I put the Moto G52 to the test to find out.

Motorola Moto G52 Summary

Motorola Moto G52 mobile was launched on 12th April 2022. The phone comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate 6.60-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels (FHD) at a pixel density of 402 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 20:9. Motorola Moto G52 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It comes with 4GB, 6GB of RAM. The Motorola Moto G52 runs Android 12 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Motorola Moto G52 on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel (f/1.8) primary camera; an 8-megapixel (f/2.2) camera, and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) camera. The rear camera setup has autofocus. It has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.

Motorola Moto G52 is based on Android 12 and packs 64GB, 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 1000GB). The Motorola Moto G52 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) mobile that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. The Motorola Moto G52 measures 160.98 x 74.46 x 7.99mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 169.00 grams. It was launched in Charcoal Grey and Porcelain White colours.

Connectivity options on the Motorola Moto G52 include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, NFC, USB Type-C, FM radio, 3G, and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
