SanDisk India launches Extreme II SSD, Extreme microSDHC/ microSDXC UHS-I memory cards and Ultra USB 3.0 flash drive

SanDisk Corporation has announced the launch of three new storage products, namely the the SanDisk Extreme II SSD, SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 flash drive and the SanDisk Extreme microSDHC/ microSDXC UHS-I memory cards.

The Extreme II SSD leverages the company's advanced 19nm flash memory and proprietary tiered system architecture, improving data-transfer, application launching, and boot-up and shut-down times for notebook computers and desktops. The SanDisk Extreme II SSD delivers a speed of up to 550MB per second sequential read and up to 510MB per second sequential write speeds. The new SSD will be available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB3 capacity variants with a price of  Rs. 14,750, Rs. 26,100 and Rs. 49,500, respectively. It comes with a 5 year warranty.

"With the new range of SanDisk Extreme and SanDisk Ultra products, we are sure to offer Indian consumers a faster and smarter host device experience," said Rajesh Gupta, country manager India, SanDisk. "This new range of products delivers breakthrough technology and advanced performance to satisfy the most discerning users."

The SanDisk Extreme microSDHC and microSDXC UHS-I memory cards offer UHS Speed Class 1(U1) and Class 10 video recording, allowing users to record fill-HD video through their smartphones and cameras. The microSDXC card claims to offer the fastest speeds available, with up to 80MB per second read and up to 50MB per second write speeds. The SanDisk Extreme microSDHC and microSDXC cards are available in 16GB to 64GB capacities with price ranging between Rs. 2,990 to Rs. 9,750. These cards come with a lifetime limited warranty.

In addition to the SSD and memory cards, SanDisk has also launched the SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 flash drive that allows users to transfer and share large files with speeds up to 80MB per second. The SanDisk Ultra USB 3.0 comes with a 5-year limited warranty and ships in 16GB to 64GB capacities with a price ranging from Rs. 1,250 to Rs. 4,950.
