Amazon rekindles the market with $200 tablet

Amazon launched a $199 tablet - the Kindle Fire. The long rumored tablet is believed to be Amazon's iPad killer as it will integrate Amazon's services and cloud computing solutions alongside coming at a much cheaper price-point in comparison to the iPad's $499.
                                                                                                  
The Kindle Fire will boast of a gorilla glass protected 7-inch IPS display, a dual-core processor, will be a Wi-Fi only model and will come with a 30-day free trial of Amazon's Prime service. The device will run a heavily modified version of Android and will be loaded with Amazon services including their Android app store. The device will ship from November 15 onwards.
 
The company also released a touch screen version of the Kindle E-Book Reader called the Kindle Touch and the latest version of the Kindle E-Book. The Kindle Touch E-book, which will feature IR-touch, panel, replacing the hardware keyboard and will cost $99. Amazon claims it boasts of the most advanced E-ink display and will offer battery life.
 
Apart from this Amazon announced the Kindle 3G, which will cost $149 and will boast of free 3G data in 100 countries.
 
The Kindle 4 will be 18 percent lighter than its predecessor the Kindle 3 and will have faster page turns. It will come for $79.
 
Interestingly the Kindle Fire will become the first colour Kindle, while the Kindle Touch and Kindle 4 will retain the black and white E-ink displays.
