A new report suggests that the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update will start rolling to the Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013), and Nexus 10 Wi-Fi only tablets starting November 3.

The other Nexus devices including the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) LTE models are said to be in-line to receive the update later in the month.

Android Police, citing a source, claims that the OTA (over-the-air) update for the Wi-Fi only Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 tablets will start rolling out on November 3.

The report cites a note (which comes from its sources) that says, "Starting later this week, we will make the SDK and system images for Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 of Android 5.0 Lollipop available on developer.android.com. On November 3, we will begin rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) and Nexus 10 via an OTA, and it will continue to roll out to Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (LTE) later this month."

Google on Wednesday, apart from introducing the new Nexus 6 smartphone and Nexus 9 tablet, alongside the general release of Android 5.0 Lollipop, also confirmed that previous-generation Nexus devices will receive the update "in the coming weeks". The company had also revealed the update for the Google Play Edition devices.

The company, however, had not specified an exact Android 5.0 Lollipop release date for the older Nexus line-up. Other manufacturers such as HTC, Motorola and Sony have also announced Android 5.0 Lollipop update schedule for their devices.

Android 5.0 Lollipop also comes with an opt-in kill switch dubbed 'Factory Reset Protection', which will allow users to wipe out the device's data on will. There is the new Messenger app; a guest user mode with custom options for access; and screen pinning that lets users fix in place the screen that's displayed without allowing guests to go further.
