Micromax Funbook Pro: 10.1-inch tablet surfaces online

Micromax is all set to launch a 10.1-inch tablet in the Indian market. Dubbed as Funbook Pro, Micromax has silently listed the tablet on its official website. This tablet will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to the details posted online, Micromax Funbook Pro will be powered by 1.2 GHz processor. It has a display resolution of 1024X600 pixels and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB. There is also a VGA front camera on board.

It seems to be a Wi-Fi only tablet without the SIM support and will be available in two colour options - silver and black.

As Micromax is positioning this tablet to as an education cum entertainment unit, it will come pre-loaded with educational apps which include study material from primary classes to undergraduate level.

So far the company has not announced any pricing details about Micromax Funbook Pro but it is expected that this tablet will be launched in the market in the 2-3 weeks.

Micromax had launched its 7-inch Funbook tablet in April 2012. Priced at Rs. 6,499 it runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and has a 1.2 GHz processor.
