Vodafone India launches pre-paid and post-paid international roaming packs

Vodafone India Monday launched international roaming packs for both pre-paid and post-paid customers offering a discount of 95 percent on data charges and up to 78 percent on voice calls.

The roaming packs cover 53 countries including UK, USA, UAE, Thailand and Singapore, the company said in a statement.

The packs are available for a rental of Rs. 599 and Rs. 1,499 for post-paid customers and come with a validity of 10 and 30 days, respectively.

Pre-paid users can avail the offer through recharge vouchers of Rs. 673 and Rs. 1,684, respectively, for the same validity period.

The company said with the packs, customers can access data for Rs. 30 per MB on international roaming. The prevailing rate for data is Rs. 563 per MB on international roaming.

In the same way, local outgoing calls can be made for Rs. 15 per minute as compared to Rs. 70 per minute. International outgoing calls can be made for Rs. 30 per minute and incoming calls will also be charged for Rs. 30/minute.

"With these new international roaming packs, we are offering unmatched value, convenience and huge savings to our customer segment that travels abroad for both leisure and business," Vodafone India Chief Commercial Officer Vivek Mathur said.
