Vodafone Red Launched for Retail, Enterprise Postpaid Customers in India

Vodafone India has launched new packages for retail and enterprise postpaid customers under its new Vodafone Red campaign, which the company says is an "an all-in-one, integrated, worry-free solution."

The telecommunication provider believes the newly-launched Vodafone Red packages will eliminate the need for multiple rentals for voice and data that postpaid customers have to contend with.

Vodafone Red packages are available in four pricing options for non-corporate postpaid customers, all of which offer calling, data and text benefits. The Red 499 plan that comes with 1,000 free local and STD calling minutes; 500MB of free data (unspecified 3G/2G), and free 500 local and STD messages. The Red 899 will offer 2,000 free minutes for calling (Local and STD); 2GB of free data, and 1,000 free messages. Red 1299 will offer postpaid customers 4,000 free local and STD minutes; 3GB of free data usage, and 1,500 free texts. Lastly, the Red 1599 plan will offer free 6,000 local and STD calling minutes; 5GB of free data, and 2,000 free messages.

Vodafone also announced Red4Business for enterprise postpaid customers. The Red4Business will be available in three pricing options - Red4Business 666, 999 and 1599.

All the Red4Business plans offer free calls in the CUG (closer user group), and in addition to that, offer 1500, 2500, and 10,000 free local and STD minutes for Red4Business 666, 999 and 1599 plans respectively . Enterprise postpaid customers will also get free 1,000 free messages (local and STD) with all Red4Business plans. For data, the Red4Business 666 offers 1.5GB of free data (unspecified 2G/3G); Red4Business 999 offers 4GB of free data, and Red4Business 1599 offer 8GB of free data.

With the Vodafone Red and Red4Business packages, users will get a dedicated 24x7 relationship manager, and earn as they spend with a loyalty card. The company is also touting security applications like Vodafone Guardian (for parental control), and Vodafone Password Manager. Enterprises can also opt for Vodafone Secure Device Manager and Vodafone Location Tracker to manage devices and employees.

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India said, "With 'Vodafone Red', we offer our postpaid customers a new and unique proposition that captures their need for increasing volumes of voice and data through multiple devices across family members. The built in conveniences, loyalty programme, focus on safety & security and a dedicated relationship manager, makes 'Vodafone RED' holistic and delightful."

Detailing the Red4Business plans, Naveen Chopra, Director, Vodafone Business Services, said, "Higher smartphone penetration and bring your own device (BYOD) has changed the modern enterprise and their needs. 'Red4Business' is designed to anticipate and meet these needs. We've packed in flexi-pricing, differentiated service, options to secure devices and a loyalty programme for enhanced benefits."
