Samsung to buy Harman for approximately $8 billion
Samsung has announced that it will acquire Harman International for about $8 billion; the board of the South Korean conglomerate has approved the deal. With this acquisition, Samsung is the owner of brands such as Harman/Kardon, Infinity, JBL, JBL Professional, AKG Acoustics, AMX, Crown Audio, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Martin, Revel, Soundcraft and Studer, among others.

Supermoon watchers get closest glimpse in 68 years
Supermoon watchers were in for a treat today, with the moon appearing at its brightest in 68 years tonight. The first appearance of the November 2016 Supermoon, the phenomenon when the full moon makes its closest pass to the Earth, was from 8pm to 10pm IST on Monday, and another appearance on Tuesday after sunset till 10pm. The heavenly body will not be seen this close again until 2034.

AdultFriendFinder hacked again, 339 million accounts compromised
AdultFriendFinder, a website that promotes itself with the tagline "Hookup, Find Sex or Meet Someone Special Now," has reportedly been hacked. This puts the data of 339 million users at risk; this is the second time the website has been hacked in two years. The hack also compromises the data of users of AdultFriendFinder’s sister websites Cams.com (62 million registered users), Penthouse.com (7 million registered users), Stripshow.com (1 million registered users), and iCams.com (1 million registered users).

Paytm lowers fee to transfer money from wallet to bank accounts
Paytm on Monday said that customers transferring money from their online wallets to bank accounts will be levied only 1 percent transaction fee. For all new members without KYC completed formalities, there will be a three-day wait period, after which they can transfer the money to their bank accounts. Previously, Paytm used to charge 1 percent fee from all members who had completed their KYC formalities, and 4 percent from those who hadn't. Furthermore, the wait period for new members was 45 days.

OnePlus 3T design, name teased by company
With just one day left to go for the launch of OnePlus 3T, the Chinese brand teased the name and design of its upcoming smartphone. The teaser shows the OnePlus 3 looking in the mirror, but its reflection bears the ‘T’ logo on the screen, suggesting that the smartphone will bear the name ‘T’ in its name and look quite similar to the current OnePlus flagship. Earlier reports have said that OnePlus 3T will look identical to its predecessor. The smartphone will be unveiled on November 15 at 11.30pm IST via a Facebook Live video, and have a new display type, faster processor, and upgraded camera sensor, among other features.

Huawei Mate 9 Pro with Leica dual camera setup launched
Huawei has launched the Mate 9 Pro smartphone with 20-megapixel (monochrome) and 12-megapixel (RGB) Leica cameras on the back, an upgraded version of the Mate 9 that was showcased in early November. The new Mate 9 Pro smartphone has a 5.5-inch curved AMOLED display (1440x2560 pixel resolution), Android 7.0 Nougat-based Emotion UI 5.0 software, 2.5GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor, 8-megapixel front camera, and 4000mAh battery. It comes in two variants: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage (CNY 5,299 or roughly Rs. 52,500), and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage (CNY 4,699 or Rs. 46,500).

Donald Trump says Facebook, Twitter helped him win
While Mark Zuckerberg continues to deny that Facebook played a role in Donald Trump winning the US election, the new President-elect today said the world’s biggest social network did indeed help him win. He also credited Twitter and Instagram for his victory over Hillary Clinton, and reportedly said, "I think it [social media] helped me win all of these races where they're spending much more money than I spent.”
