  • Google Photos app can now produce concept based movies
  • App uses pictures out of your entire library
  • The app automatically creates the movies for you

Google's Photos app and service was already able to make video montages out of the pictures taken by you during your recent travel trips. Now, the app has been updated by the search giant to make concept-based movies out of pictures taken by you.

The photos used for these movies will not be just limited to recent uploads and will include relevant content from your entire photos library. One of the first concepts shown off by the company is "They Grow Up So Fast" and simply creates a movie from the photos of your kids taken by you.

The app understands that the quality of photos included in the movie should be of a particular standard and therefore doesn't include the ones that are out of focus or have someone blinking in them.

"We're rolling out a couple more concepts this week, with more coming soon. Look out for a concept to commemorate the good times from this summer, and another one for formal events like weddings," the company said in its official blog.

Probably the best thing about these concept-based movies is that you don't have to do anything to create them, the app automatically makes them for you.

The app recognises the content of the photos using artificial intelligence and creates the movies by stitching these pictures together and adding sounds. The feature appears to be an improved version of the Auto Awesome photo and video options that were offered by Google+.

The company has also made it simpler to share your photos with your contacts. Google Photos now allows you to simply pick the people that you want to share your pics with and according to the platform on which they are available, they will get the notification.

"If your friends are on Google Photos, they'll get a notification. If you share via phone number, they'll get a link to the photos and videos via SMS. And email addresses will get an email with a link from Google Photos," Google said.
