Google has released the Calendar app in Google Play on Thursday. The app earlier used to come pre-installed on stock Android devices. But, now even the OEM customised Android device users will also be able to use the app by downloading it for free via Google Play.

Google Calendar allows you to create, edit or delete events. You can sync multiple calendars on your device by adding more Google accounts.

According to Google, the calendar app now also support pinch-to-zoom to go in and out of a day.

Google Calendar features

  • Snooze events directly from a notification if you're not quite ready and want to be reminded later.
  • Use predefined messages to send quick "I'll be late" updates to your event participants directly from the notifications or the event itself (of course, you can always write your own).
  • Set a home time zone to help you manage your time better when traveling.

The search giant has also rolled-out wishlists to Google Play clients today. This feature allows you to add applications or other content like movies, magazines, music to your wishlist. The wishlist can be access via menu options in Goole Play client. We hope Google also integrates sharing functionality in the wishlists soon, since having a wishlist that others can't see seems rather pointless. We also hope Google releases a web version of wishlists soon, since the only way to access them right now seems to be from within the Play app.
