About The Righteous Gemstones Season 1 Web Series

A family of ultra-rich televangelists in Texas, disliked by other small churches in town, prioritises money and material growth over the teachings of the church — which ironically, they propagate.

The family is headed by Eli (John Goodman), who once hosted the show along with his deceased wife, and includes his three adult children: Jesse (Danny McBride), Judy (Edi Patterson), and Kelvin (Adam DeVine).

One day, they receive a video of Jesse and his friends doing cocaine and having a gala time with a bunch of strippers — and are held for $1 million in ransom. That kicks off a series of blackmails as the family panics and makes desperate attempts to save its reputation.
